 Netflix finally dropped a new promotional ad for STRANGER THINGS 4 -- but it wasn't much to see.. You can judge for yourself; The 'teaser' was more of a clip-by-clip rehash of seasons 1 through 3--even a little promo was included to remind viewers that those first three seasons were still on Netflix.. But the real news, if there is any, is a very much alive and thinner Hopper holding what appears to be a weapon in one second of the clip, and Eleven with long hair ... The show will be dropping in 2022. That's right, 2022. The biggest obstacle Netflix may now face is lack of interest. With the crew from Hawkins aging quickly, how much more can these delays do to hurt a potential season 5? Or ..is four it and then the branch off shows with side characters and other stories? As always we will happily watch season 4. But .. it sure gets tough waiting when the last time we saw the gang was Fourth of July so many years ago now.

China reported 99 infections on Monday, including 44 who tested positive but have no symptoms.  Later in the day, seven more people were found to be infected in Wuhan, plus another in Beijing.  By number of cases, it’s the biggest outbreak since a flareup in Hebei province in northern China in January, when 2,000 people were infected. Years after Kathy Griffin shaved her head in solidarity with her sister who was undergoing chemotherapy, the comedian and actress has announced she  has lung cancer :  "I've got to tell you guys something. Google   has banned Sky News Australia from uploading content to YouTube for one week after the news platform allegedly breached its rules on spreading so-called 'Covid misinformation'. According to the channel, the videos that provoked the censorship included 'debates around whether masks were effective and whether lockdowns were justified when considering their adverse health outcomes'.   According to all media reports, the platform did not say which specific video violated terms of service, but further strikes against the channel could result in more prohibitions or even, at worst, permanent cancellation altogether.

Canada defeated the United States women's soccer team in a semifinal match on Monday, 1-0, ending the U.S.'s chances of securing a gold medal at the Tokyo Olympics. Canada's Jessie Fleming scored the team's single goal on a penalty kick in the 74th minute, icing the country's first victory over the U.S. since 2001. This news rocking the social media world: 19-year-old Anthony Barajas died a few days after being shot at a movie theater, and having his date killed in front of him as well. The social media influencer passed away Saturday morning in a hospital -- where he'd been on life support since Monday.. Barajas was shot in the eye.. authorities have named the suspect as Joseph Jimenez Anthony's date, 18-year-old Rylee Goodrich, was shot in the head too ... and died instantly . The shooting happened at a theater in Corona, CA .. Police say that Jimenez stole Goodrich's wallet after the murder. According to the Shakopee Police Department, the incident occurred at around 2:30 p.m. at the intersection of Fourth Avenue and Spencer Street. A 55-year-old woman, identified as America Mafalda Thayer of Shakopee, was found on the sidewalk near the intersection and pronounced dead at the scene. Police later confirmed that the woman was beheaded in the incident. Police say they quickly arrested a 42-year-old Shakopee Alexis Saborit on suspicion of second-degree murder. He’s being held in Scott County Jail on pending charges. According to police, the suspect and victim have had a long-term relationship that police are familiar with; the incident is not believed to be a random act. This news being widely reported today: At least 125,000 fully vaccinated Americans have tested positive for Covid and 1,400 of those have died, according to data collected by NBC News. The 125,682  "breakthrough" cases  in 38 states found by NBC News represent less than .08 percent of the  164.2 million-plus people  who have been  fully vaccinated  since January, or about one in every 1,300. The number of cases and deaths among the vaccinated is very small compared to the number among the unvaccinated. But the number also is misleading because nine states, including Pennsylvania and Missouri, did not provide any information, while 11, like Covid hotspot Florida, did not provide death and hospitalization totals..

The report: With the city of 5 million people ordered to stay home amid an outbreak of the highly transmissable Delta variant, authorities outlined even tighter restrictions for the worst affected suburbs, including mandatory testing and mask-wearing outdoors. We can begin calling the mid Atlantic tornado alley! remember the old days when a tornado would be a rare event, some thing that would be front-page news because of this year oddity of a tornado in Appalachia? Anymore it would seem that just about every storm produces the possibility of not only severe weather but also intense straight line winds or even tornadoes. such was the case yesterday in Trevose Pennsylvania, with a car dealership being the significant victim. There are at least 4 to 5 injuries, but no deaths thankfully have been reported... The Faulkner dealership has been decimated, with some commenting that it looks like a bomb went off... There were other significant potential tornadoes, one near Lebanon Pennsylvania. There was another report of rotation or six flags in New Jersey, and tremendously bad weather that move through Bucks County and Montgomery county Pennsylvania.   PLANES TRAINS AND DUCT TAPE A woman was duct-taped to an airplane seat last week after she allegedly attacked the flight crew and tried to open the door of the aircraft in midflight. Video posted on social media showed the gray-haired woman with silver duct tape over her mouth, and her arms and body seemingly taped to the seat. She could be heard screaming, “You! You! You!” as passengers exited American Airlines Flight 1774 past her — flight attendants calmly nodded their goodbyes,  according to the footage posted by TikTok user @lol.ariee .

HAITIAN CRISIS.. Haitian authorities say several of the “presumed assassins” have been apprehended after the midnight assassination of haitian President Jovenel Moïse in his home early Wednesday… Four suspects were killed by police and two others were arrested, the associated press reported, citing Léon Charles, chief of Haiti’s National Police.   This story is strange .. unexplained.. and emotional.. Two of the victims Arnie and Myriam  Notkin , live in Apartment 302 and the family is still waiting to hear from them or maybe they have – the story is  remarkable,  if not g u t wrenching. Jake Samuelson their  grandson  says that his mother’s house line has been receiving calls from the  Notkin’s  landline phone that he said rested next to their bed in the now demolished condominium. Imagine the notion of getting phone calls after the death.. Or presumed death in this instance.  What makes this story even more chilling is how it joins the ranks of so many others--those from Fukushima that believed they were getting phantom calls after the tsunami in 2011..
