All the news making headlines… good luck finding what matters! This post just will take a brief out from the perils of modern life. There ARE really things in the world happening besides the COVID hangover.. besides Democrats and Republicans fighting about the latest insignificant event. And we are told to trust the ‘trusted’ sources.. the news media! Hear them snooze! While real events occur, they are busy posting lame headlines for click bait and talking heads on TV for ratings. Do they even get ratings anymore? Ahh.. who cares, right? YouTube pumps them to the top of the algorithm .. Twitter brands them. They are number one baby. But despite their accredited and heralded abilities to give you headlines that matter, they so often neglect news. Like, the real news. The things that actually happen. This news being widely reported today: At least 125,000 fully vaccinated Americans have tested positive for Covid and 1,400 of those have died, according to data collected by NBC News. The 125,682  "breakthrough" cases  in 38 states found by NBC News represent less than .08 percent of the  164.2 million-plus people  who have been  fully vaccinated  since January, or about one in every 1,300. The number of cases and deaths among the vaccinated is very small compared to the number among the unvaccinated. But the number also is misleading because nine states, including Pennsylvania and Missouri, did not provide any information, while 11, like Covid hotspot Florida, did not provide death and hospitalization totals..

The report: With the city of 5 million people ordered to stay home amid an outbreak of the highly transmissable Delta variant, authorities outlined even tighter restrictions for the worst affected suburbs, including mandatory testing and mask-wearing outdoors. From Monday, some 300 Australian army personnel will help police door-knock people who have tested positive to the virus to ensure they are isolating, New South Wales police commissioner Mick Fuller said at a televised news conference. We can begin calling the mid Atlantic tornado alley! remember the old days when a tornado would be a rare event, some thing that would be front-page news because of this year oddity of a tornado in Appalachia? Anymore it would seem that just about every storm produces the possibility of not only severe weather but also intense straight line winds or even tornadoes. such was the case yesterday in Trevose Pennsylvania, with a car dealership being the significant victim. There are at least 4 to 5 injuries, but no deaths thankfully have been reported... The Faulkner dealership has been decimated, with some commenting that it looks like a bomb went off... There were other significant potential tornadoes, one near Lebanon Pennsylvania. There was another report of rotation or six flags in New Jersey, and tremendously bad weather that move through Bucks County and Montgomery county Pennsylvania.   PLANES TRAINS AND DUCT TAPE A woman was duct-taped to an airplane seat last week after she allegedly attacked the flight crew and tried to open the door of the aircraft in midflight. Video posted on social media showed the gray-haired woman with silver duct tape over her mouth, and her arms and body seemingly taped to the seat. She could be heard screaming, “You! You! You!” as passengers exited American Airlines Flight 1774 past her — flight attendants calmly nodded their goodbyes,  according to the footage posted by TikTok user @lol.ariee .

HAITIAN CRISIS.. Haitian authorities say several of the “presumed assassins” have been apprehended after the midnight assassination of haitian President Jovenel Moïse in his home early Wednesday… Four suspects were killed by police and two others were arrested, the associated press reported, citing Léon Charles, chief of Haiti’s National Police. Charles said three police officers who were taken hostage by the suspected assassins were also released after police swarmed the house where they were holed up. MORE..   This story is strange .. unexplained.. and emotional.. Two of the victims Arnie and Myriam  Notkin , live in Apartment 302 and the family is still waiting to hear from them or maybe they have – the story is  remarkable,  if not g u t wrenching. Jake Samuelson their  grandson  says that his mother’s house line has been receiving calls from the  Notkin’s  landline phone that he said rested next to their bed in the now demolished condominium. Imagine the notion of getting phone calls after the death.. Or presumed death in this instance.  What makes this story even more chilling is how it joins the ranks of so many others--those from Fukushima that believed they were getting phantom calls after the tsunami in 2011.. The voice mails left by people on phones from Flight 93 before it crashed near Pittsburgh on 9/11..
