The UFO files

It’s an amazing time to be alive! Just today The Hill put out a video in which Jeremy Corbell interviewed about UFO activity, any video tape of strange anomalous craft that’s a Pentagon has confirmed is real. Obviously it is worth noting that the Pentagon did not confirm little green men are from Mars were in the craft or what exactly the flying object was. But as Corbell  states, that is the reason why we call them UFOs because at the point we see them they are still on identified. If they become identified later, it’s put into a new category. Sagar is a newer convert to the UFO beat, but it’s always good to include more people. Korbel makes mention of the great George Knapp,  a mentor for him and many others. Video here :

The brief respite in Tennessee

I am not one to throw vacation photos at you and demand attention.. But remember those old days? The big projector? The highlights reel was so often painful to view, right?  Now we can welcome the Instas and the FB version. Just a click and a like, and forget the rest..  However I must pause to tell you of the week in Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge.. mixed with a few nights on a cold mountain high above the Sevier County, Tennessee... This is a cool mixture of the Old South, the new South, history, and quite frankly, profiteering off of tourism.  It has Dollywood, sure.. but also tons of other attractions that go beyond just the typical ski lift and binoculars.  We are talking islands.. ferris wheels.. tons of restaurants.. museums.. And sure, some moonshine thrown in.. We love our history.. so before we move further, here is some:  Pigeon Forge was once part of North Carolina. Settlers first reached the area in 1788, when the area was governed by North Carol...

The sheepish circle

Christopher Hogg, of village Rottingdean in  East Sussex , was out on his bike when he saw the sheep gathered together. The 47-year-old said: "I was on my daily cycle when I came over the hill and saw this magnificent circle. "At that point I was about half a mile away, which made me think that whatever it was, it was huge. "It was saucer-shaped, like an alien ship. The full report here:  https://www.thesun.co.uk/news/14604921/mystery-sheep-stand-bizarre-circle-baffled-alien/ X X X  Sheep are best known for their strong flocking (herding) and following instinct. They will run from what frightens them and band together in large groups for protection.

India reports 103,794 new coronavirus cases, the biggest one-day increase on record... From local reports: Restrictions now being put in place.. MORE.. MUMBAI: The rapid spread of Covid-19 finally forced the Uddhav Thackeray government to announce lockdown-like restrictions across the state from 8pm on Monday. On weekends, a complete lockdown will be imposed. A state government notification issued late on Sunday said all shops except essential services would remain shut till the end of the month, leaving people only Monday to buy non-essential goods this month. Piney Point history: How did we get here

As the crisis develops in Florida , a brief stroll through history may be important to understand how the state got to a point where Florida state and local leaders fear an "imminent" collapse of the retention pond at the former Piney Point phosphate processing plant in Manatee County... The Manatee County Commission voted unanimously last Thursday to declare a state of emergency due to the liner tear at the gypsum stack at the former phosphate plant on Piney Point. The emergency order was in response to concerns that a leak in one of the stacks could cause a collapse that would affect nearby communities. Crews discovered a leak in March and have been actively monitoring water capacity at the former phosphate mining site. HRK Holdings, LLC, is responsible for the operation of the closed phosphogypsum stacks, and they self-reported after finding a tear in one of the compartments. Phosphogypsum is the primary waste byproduct of the wet-acid process for producing phosphoric ac...

Water supply crisis in Mantee County Florida: Easter Sunday evacuation

THIS IS A DEVELOPING STORY.. Hundreds of residents in Manatee County, Florida, were ordered to evacuate their homes over Easter weekend as officials feared that a wastewater pond could collapse "at any time." On Saturday, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis declared a state of emergency for the area. The Governor stated: “Due to a possible breach of mixed saltwater from the south reservoir at the Piney Point facility, I have declared a State of Emergency for Manatee County to ensure resources are allocated for necessary response & recovery.,” reads a tweet from the governor. County officials said the pond, located at the former Piney Point phosphate processing plant, had a "significant leak," according to CBS affiliate WTSP-TV . The Manatee County Public Safety Department told people near the plant to evacuate due to an "imminent uncontrolled release of wastewater." "A portion of the containment wall at the leak site shifted laterally," said Man...
