Iraq has slammed US airstrikes following Friday's attack - warning that the "aggressive strike" puts the region "on the brink of the abyss".

WASHINGTON — The United States launched attacks against Iran-backed militias in Iraq and Syria on Friday ,   its first retaliatory strikes for the  killing of three American soldiers  in Jordan last weekend , according to an official at the Department of Defense.

IT’S JUST WHAT DICTATORS DO.. Belarussian President Alexander Lukashenko appears to have indicated Vladimir Putin's forces have plans to invade Moldova. Putin's war-mongering sidekick addressed security officials today while standing in front of a battle map that seems to show a planned operation from southern Ukraine into its tiny neighbor. The map also showed proposed battle plans for Russian troops across the country. The UK DAILY MAIL reports on the weird moment: It detailed Russian lines of attack heading into Ukraine, some of which have materialised in the first few days of the invasion - such as forces storming towards Kyiv from the north, and towards Kherson from Crimea. But they also showed off several attacks that have yet to come to pass - with one even appearing to point from the port city of Odessa into Moldova, suggesting Russia plans to march troops into Ukraine's neighbour.  This is a developing story.. According to a Tweet from the International Atomic Energy Agency, Ukraine has reported that there has been damage done to two different nuclear facilities in the country.. Radiation sensors in Eastern Europe are detecting a significant increase of radioactive fallout over the last 72 hours around the Chernobyl nuclear disaster site, where authorities have confirmed 92 plant workers are being held hostage. The White House released a statement requesting their release. While eyes are on Chernobyl, concern is growing that 4 other nuclear power plants currently in operation elsewhere throughout Ukraine could come under attack, ejecting additional radioactive materials into the air.  Weather patterns would spread any radioactive cloud over Europe before spreading throughout much of the Northern Hemisphere..  Important developing story.. 

 The scenes were harrowing--at least those we can see. While mainstream media seems to be offering a sanitized view of the Russian attack on Ukraine, social media sites--especially TikTok--are offering up videos of missile strikes, children in tears, families huddled in subway stations, and troops hovering above major Ukraine cities.  The scenes are reminiscent of those that would appear in old World War II reels..  As this post is written, Russian President Vladimir Putin already offered up a warning to the world: If anyone tries to stop him, some other type of hell the likes of which the planet has never seen will be unleashed.. That has prompted fears of nuclear war... fears of World War III.. fears that a new 'cold war' with assassins and numbers stations blaring from cold bunkers somewhere in the former Soviet Union are back again.. Perhaps the planet would be lucky if we can just maintain a "Cold War II" instead of a third hot version.. NUCLEAR WINTER As Russia ...
