Office manager claims he saw alien spaceship above Arctic Ocean - others see Michael Jackson An office manager is convinced he’s spotted a UFO hovering above the Arctic ocean on Google Earth - but others likened it to ‘Jesus ascending’. Edward Jones, from Liverpool, Merseyside, was baffled when he spotted the shadowy figure hovering off the coast of the Norwegian archipelago of Svalbard. The thrilled 32-year-old, who claims to have spotted several UFOs in the past, shared his discovery on Facebook but found other users weren’t convinced. Dubious commenters made all manner of wacky claims as to what the mystery shape was, including suggestions it was Jesus, Michael Jackson, a Star Wars spaceship or simply a passing seagull. Although unsure exactly what the object is, Edward is certain it’s none of the more mundane explanations as he claims it doesn’t look 'from this earth’. Edward said: “When I’m bored, I’ll go on Google Earth and look around at different locations that you’re nev...

Fata Morgana across the UK

The NET is abuzz.. why are ships floating in the sky above water in EUROPE? Fata Morgana ... That's why.' Earlier this week in Paignton, Devon, a picturesque coastal snap depicted several liners which looked like they were hovering above the sea due to the phenomenon. And on Friday in Banff, Aberdeenshire, health and safety worker Colin McCallum spotted another ship which looked to be flying and stopped to get a video of the unusual sight before investigating what caused the illusion. The phenomenon, known as Fata Morgana, creates a mirage when the sun heats up the atmosphere above the land or the sea, which creates a gradient of temperatures.. Fata Morgana mirages significantly distort the object or objects on which they are based, often such that the object is completely unrecognizable. A Fata Morgana may be seen on land or at sea, in polar regions, or in deserts. It may involve almost any kind of distant object, including boats, islands, and the coastline.. They also made f...
