The outages have been widespread and also have caused some panic amongst users across the United States online. At the time this post is being written, big communications companies have yet to reveal why this occurred. Some have speculated that a large solar flare, which emitted from the sun on February 21st, may have been to blame. Others, however, have downplayed that suggestion. 911 centers across the United States, including Massachusetts, have urged people not to use their cell phones when calling 911.
