I WANT MY MTV: 40 YEARS LATER

MTV WENT LIVE ON AUGUST 1, 1981, EXACTLY 40 YEARS AGO TODAY.. as the joke goes. Music television gave us 14 years of music in the past 40.. Let it be known forever that the first song ever played on MTV was VIDEO KILLED THE RADIO STAR. And since then, everything--INCLUDING MTV--killed the Video Star! History.  40 years to the date.. Here is some cool video of the first two hours of what the network offered this day in history:

The general of Juneteenth

The Civil War ended in April 1865 and two months later, on June 19, 1865, Maj. Gen. Gordon Granger of the Union Army issued General Order No. 3 in Galveston, Texas, with Granger saying, “The people of Texas are informed that, in accordance with a proclamation from the Executive of the United States, all slaves are free.”

Now confirmed: FBI was busy digging for gold in Pennsylvania in 2018. Is Dent's Run the city of gold!?

Very interesting news from the rural Elk County of Pennsylvania.. three years ago when the FBI showed up, many knew what they were looking for but no "official" word was released. Now information has been released in emails to say: GOLD! According to what we have found out:  FBI agents were looking for an extremely valuable cache of fabled Civil War-era gold — possibly tons of it — when they excavated a remote woodland site in Pennsylvania three years ago this month, according to government emails and other recently released documents in the case! On March 13, 2018, treasure hunters led the FBI to Dent’s Run, about 135 miles (220 kilometers) northeast of Pittsburgh, where legend has it an 1863 shipment of Union gold was either lost or stolen on its way to the U.S. Mint in Philadelphia. The FBI now says that it came up empty..  Those documents provided to the Associated Press, show that federal law enforcement was indeed after buried treasure and claim they left without it.. “...
