It's me, I'm the problem it's me

Ok yea.. it's the Taylor Bowl. But the journalistic response is a bit over the top..

It’s pretty wild what constitutes as breaking news these days.

The Super Bowl will undoubtedly be covered ad nauseam by major media, as it should, we will also talk about the commercials as though the corporate nightmare we’re stuck in actually matters.

But the biggest event of the Super Bowl this year will not be the players and will not be the immediate sale of merchandise seconds after victory. Instead, it will be the amazing entrance of Taylor, Swift. Tay Tay was kind enough to grab a jet from her Singapore tour to come back to the United States to be there in time to see her boyfriend and Chiefs player Travis Kelce.

That all seems to be nice, quaint, and all that,  I guess. For some.  Maybe it is a big deal. Your day was just awaiting this info. You were on pins and needles. You do you. (Don't worry about that climate change, Tay)

But, this really should not constitute as “breaking news” with banners and sirens. It’s a celebrity flying a plane to come back to the United States.

Yes, she was Time magazine’s person of the year in 2023. And people think that she will most likely change the results of the election this year if she chose to.

But at this point can we just come down a few degrees? Can we stop labeling every single passage of gas that celebrities make is breaking news.
