The Simpsons show support for Ukraine while some find an old episode that may have portended current events

Tonight the official “The Simpsons“ Facebook page presented artistic commentary and support for Ukraine as Russia continues to pummel the nation.

The timing is fascinating given this:

Fans of the animated cartoon have taken to Twitterand pointed out that there’s an episode from 1998, titled ‘Simpson Tide,’ in which there are some similarities to current events.

In the episode, Homer Simpson accidentally fires off a submarine captain into Russian water, which brings back the Soviet Union, who send troops and tanks out to the streets.

Some are you the conspiracy realm is that play in that the makers of the Simpsons have been time traveler since the beginning. Others just point out that the shows that I’m so long, it goes to show that they would be at least one or two references to futuristic timelines.

But it’s getting weird isn’t it?
